Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, a related quantitative field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 10 years of experience in vendor operations, vendor service delivery in IT extended workforce, and software engineering services.
  • 5 years of experience in vendor sourcing, vendor selection, negotiations and contracting.
  • Experience in multi vendor operations management for scaled operations and vendor relationship management.
  • Ability to work non-standard hours and differing work rotations/shifts.
Preferred qualifications:

  • Ability to influence and engage with cross-functional teams.

  • Excellent problem-solving and project management skills.

As the Engineering Vendor Operations Manager, you will govern vendor strategy, sourcing, and vendor management functions across all functions in Google Cloud. In this role, you will be responsible for driving vendor governance for our product engineering teams enabling our product teams with their vendor needs. You will define and execute the vendor strategy, drive vendor consolidation, manage new intakes, lead sourcing to fulfillment, and support contracting and spend management.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate on the development and execution of the vendor strategy, sourcing, vendor selection, discussions, and agreements for Cloud Engineering vendor requirements. This includes software development, testing, UX, etc.
  • Develop scalable cost optimal operating models and service capabilities.
  • Manage the overall relationship with the Engineering teams and collaborate with cross-functional teams across Google to drive results.
  • Drive supplier performance around service quality and value addition through structured governance and performance measurement mechanisms.
  • Identify, prioritize, and deliver scalable solutions and run operational initiatives across the globe to scale and transform services, while measuring the business (including cost) impact of those solutions in order to provide insights to executive leadership and inform further innovation.
