Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, or a specialized field (e.g., Optics, Sensors, Audio/DSP, etc.), or equivalent practical experience.
  • 6 years of experience in camera module design, development, module system integration, and factory test and calibration
  • 3 years of experience in technical leadership.
Preferred qualifications:
  • Master's degree or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, or a related field (e.g., Optics, Sensors, Audio/DSP) or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience in camera component and module manufacturing process.
  • Experience in statistics and data analysis using MATLAB, Python, Joint Measurement Planning(JMP), Minitab or other similar software.

    In this role, you will lead the design, development, and integration of high-quality camera components and modules into Google Pixel devices. You will have the responsibility of the entire life cycle of the camera module development program from initial design to mass production.

    The US base salary range for this full-time position is $168,000-$252,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.     Responsibilities

    • Lead the camera module architecture team, driving the full life cycle of camera module architecture design and development - from concept through mass production.
    • Identify and mitigate design, manufacturing, and reliability risks through engineering analysis, simulation, tolerance analysis, and process optimization.
    • Develop and execute comprehensive camera module testing and validation plans to ensure product quality and performance.
    • Collaborate with internal and external partners to shape the future of imaging module technology through strategic roadmap development.
