Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering, related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 3 years of experience in mission critical facility design and construction environments.
  • Experience in mission critical facilities and their mechanical infrastructure.
Preferred qualifications:
  • Master's degree in Engineering, Business, relevant field, or professional engineering license.
  • Experience designing complex modular building scale assemblies, and understanding of mechanical tolerances and tolerance analysis.
  • Experience in estimating, mechanical design, operation, and commissioning of mission critical data center mechanical equipment.

  • Experience in design, construction, and commissioning of mechanical cooling plants, and fire suppression, fuel oil, domestic water, and sanitary sewer systems in mission critical facility design and construction environments.
  • Knowledge of mechanical engineering and design principles with expertise in areas of design for medium-scale production, structural beams/elements, and international building codes.
  • Knowledge of construction safety procedures.

You generate ideas, communicate recommendations to senior-level executives and drive implementation alongside facilities technicians.

    With your technical expertise, you ensure compliance with codes and standards, develop infrastructure improvements and serve as an expert in your specialty (e.g., cooling, electrical).
    The US base salary range for this full-time position is $117,000-$172,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.     Responsibilities

    • Define data center system-level, product architecture, and Research and Development, while helping to develop operations and maintenance procedures for systems/processes.
    • Conduct engineering analysis, and research designs and methods of data center equipment and facilities.
    • Ensure designs and installations meet requirements (e.g., predicted cooling, structural, operational concerns, etc.).
