Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Quantitative Science, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 3 years of experience working in data analytics, consulting, data science, engineering, or a technical operations role.
  • 3 years of experience in statistical problem solving and analyzing data sets using SQL or comparable coding languages (e.g., Python, R, Java, C++).
  • Experience in analyzing data using spreadsheet software or building data pipelines and automated workflows.
Preferred qualifications:
  • Master's degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Data Science, etc.).

  • 2 years of experience with designing experiments, developing statistical models, measurement, and identifying business opportunities.

As part of this team you fully immerse yourself in data collection, draw insight from analysis, and then zoom out to develop compelling, synthesized recommendations. Taking strategy one step further, you also persuasively communicate your recommendations to senior-level executives, roll-up your sleeves to help drive implementation and check back-in to see the impact of your recommendations.

    As a data analyst, you will partner with the News Partnerships team and its leadership to provide data-driven insights into the compliance operating processes, practices and programs across the organization.

    You will play a critical role in designing data that supports our approach to regulation in key markets, influences outcomes with strategic partners, and drives favorable outcomes for Google.

    The Global Partnerships organization is responsible for exploring new opportunities with Google's partners. Google's Global Partnerships team works with a wide range of partners to bring the best of Google to power their business. The Global Partnerships team supports Google's own Product teams with essential partnerships to help Google's user experiences in advertising, Search, Assistant, Maps, Travel, Shopping, Payments and more. Teams create product-enabling partnerships, go-to-market strategies and incubate business growth for a variety of products.

    Responsibilities

    • Use data to conduct data-oriented analysis, architect metrics, synthesize information, solve problems, and influence business decision-making by presenting insights and market trends.
    • Design and implement various integrations between business objectives and design and build strategies that support these business systems.
    • Conduct strategic analysis, optimize business performance, and deliver execution within product and function.
