Customer Engineering Manager, Google Cloud Security Sales

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 10 years of experience in a technical sales engineering role in security or cloud native environments.
  • 7 years of experience in vendor pre-sales cybersecurity (e.g., threat detection, malware intelligence, cloud security posture management, SIEM or SOAR).
  • 5 years of experience as a team lead or in people management.
  • Experience with IT technologies and security solutions (e.g., SIEM, SOAR, SecOps, NGFW, Proxy, IDS/IPS, DLP, EDR, A/V, WAF).
  • Ability to communicate in English and Mandarin Chinese fluently to engage with customers in the region.
Preferred qualifications:
  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a professional technical certification (e.g., CISSP, CCIE, OSCP).
  • Experience implementing security solutions for enterprises (e.g., threat detection and hunting, malware intelligence, cloud security posture management, SIEM or SOAR).
  • Knowledge of product and solution market trends (e.g., ransomware, attack frameworks, zero trust).
  • Knowledge of industry frameworks (e.g., MITRE, NIST, FAIR, CMMC, etc.) and familiarity with hacking and exploitation tools and methodologies, common malware families, and Anti-Virus/IDS/IPS evasion techniques.
  • Exceptional communication skills to articulate business value proposition and technical advantages of Google Cloud Security products and solutions.

As the Customer Engineering Manager, you will lead and grow our Customer Engineers in North Asia. You will align closely with Sales Leadership, Product Management, Engineering, Partner, and other internal cross-functional teams to grow business and execute strategic solutions for our customers and partners.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and develop the Customer Engineering team in the North Asia region and work closely with the Sales leadership to achieve business goals and objectives.
  • Work with Security Sales and Google Cloud teams to identify and qualify business opportunities, understand customer technical and compliance objections, and develop strategies to resolve technical blockers.
  • Build and develop executive relationships and technical experts in strategic customer accounts.
  • Support Google Cloud Security opportunities and relationships, own technical aspects of solutions, and deliver technical presentations, product and solution briefings, proofs-of-concepts, and demos to customers, partners, and stakeholders.
  • Act as a trusted advisor for Sales leaders, product management, and engineering to help grow business and gain strategic wins.
