Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 4 years of experience with cloud platforms, Artificial Intelligence (AI), business applications, infrastructure, integration, security, analytics, collaboration or geospatial solutions.
  • 2 years of experience leading and managing a team of Pre-Sales Engineers.
  • Experience engaging with, and presenting to, technical stakeholders and executive leaders.
  • Ability to communicate in English and Spanish fluently to engage with local stakeholders.
Preferred qualifications:
  • Experience with one technical area (e.g., networking, security, databases, AI/ML, IoT, etc.).
  • Understanding of cloud architecture and deep knowledge of one cloud provider.
  • Understanding of common systems management concepts such as image management, patching, automated deployment, etc.
  • Proficient in one programming language.

About the job

Once educational institutions, government agencies, and other businesses sign on to use Google Cloud products, you come in to facilitate making their work more productive, mobile, and collaborative. As a Customer Engineer Manager, you listen and deliver what is most helpful for the customer. You will assist fellow sales Googlers by problem-solving key technical issues for our customers. You will liaise with the product marketing management and engineering teams to stay on top of industry trends and devise enhancements to Google Cloud products.

Responsibilities

  • Build product and/or partner specific, go-to-market solutions to reduce business cycles and drive partner business as measured through pipeline and business growth.
  • Own the technical relationship with customers and partners, empowering them to drive via a successful demo, support sellers and partners to drive toward customer acceptance of the technical proposal, leading to an agreement, and work with partners during the migration phase to assure they have all the tools necessary.
  • Build trusted advisory relationships and make recommendations on integration strategies, enterprise architectures, platforms, and application infrastructure required to successfully implement a complete solution providing best practice advice to customers.
  • Set clear expectations with individuals based on their level and role and aligned to the broader organization's goals, and meet regularly with individuals to discuss performance and development, and provide feedback and coaching.
