Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 6 years of experience with cloud native architecture in a customer-facing or support role.
  • Experience with cloud infrastructure engineering, on-premise infrastructure engineering, virtualization, or containerization platforms.
  • Experience engaging with, and presenting to, technical stakeholders and executive leaders.
Preferred qualifications:
  • Relevant certifications in Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect, Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA), or related.
  • Experience with networking concepts such as software-defined networking, routing, virtual private networks, load balancers and firewalls.

  • Experience with security concepts such as encryption, identity management, access control, attack vectors, and penetration testing.

    As a Customer Engineer, you will partner with technical Sales teams to differentiate Google Cloud to our customers. You will help prospective and existing customers and partners understand the power of Google Cloud, develop creative cloud solutions and architectures to solve their business challenges, engage in proofs of concepts, and troubleshoot any technical questions and roadblocks. You will use your expertise and presentation skills to engage with customers to understand their business and technical requirements, and persuasively present practical and useful solutions on Google Cloud.

    The US base salary range for this full-time position is $122,000-$180,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.     Responsibilities

    • Partner with account teams to understand customer needs, lead technical discussions, and build strong stakeholder relationships.
    • Design, architect, and implement scalable compute solutions (GCE and GKE), including IaC and migration support.
    • Maintain deep knowledge of core GCP compute services (GCE, GKE) and share expertise through content creation and mentorship.
    • Contribute to streamlining team processes and identify opportunities for improvement.
    • Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Sales teams, and share knowledge with the broader Google Cloud community.
