Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 10 years of experience with cloud native architecture or cybersecurity in a customer-facing or support role.
- Experience engaging with, and presenting to, technical stakeholders and executive leaders.
- Experience promoting technology solutions to the Federal Civilian customers.
- Experience in technical sales or consulting in cloud computing, data analytics, or Big Data.
- Experience with developing data warehousing, data lakes, batch / real-time event processing, streaming, data processing (ETL/ELT), data migrations, data visualization tools and data governance on cloud native architectures.
- Experience with architecture design, implementing, tuning, schema design and query optimization of scalable and distributed systems.
- Experience in understanding customer requirements with the ability to break down requirements and design technical architectures.
- Experience with State Local Public Sector clients including state, county, local municipal agencies, and academic institutions.

As a Customer Engineer, you will partner with technical Sales teams as a data analytics subject matter expert to differentiate Google Cloud to our customers. You will help prospective and existing customers and partners understand the power of Google Cloud, develop creative cloud solutions and architectures to solve their business challenges, engage in proofs of concepts, and troubleshoot any technical questions and roadblocks related to database migrations, data back ends and all aspects of the data lifecycle.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $142,000-$214,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities
- Work withthe team to identify and qualify business opportunities, understand key customer technical objections, and develop the strategy to resolve technical blockers.
- Own the technical relationship with Google's customers, including managing product and solution briefings, proof-of-concept work, and the coordination of additional technical resources.
- Demonstrateand prototype Google Cloud product integrations in customer/partner environments.
- Recommend integration strategies, enterprise architectures, platforms and application infrastructure required to successfully implement a complete solution using best practices on Google Cloud.
- Travel tocustomer sites, conferences, and other related events as required.
