Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
- 5 years of experience in container-based application development as it relates to integration/deployment, developer operations, infrastructure as code, and architecting with cloud native technology.
- 2 years of experience with development, scaling, and managing Kubernetes clusters.
- 2 years of experience developing CI/CD pipelines and integrating them with Kubernetes.
- Ability to communicate in Japanese fluently to communicate with local customers.
- Master's degree in Computer Science, a relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 2 years of experience as a lead architect/engineer to develop system architecture with cloud native technologies for medium to large systems.
- Experience as a technology consultant, technical architect, enterprise architect, technical sales engineer, or solutions architect.
- Experience with one or more general purpose programming languages (e.g., Java, Python, Go, etc.).
- Business level communication skills in English to communicate with internal stakeholders.

In this role, you will work with technical business teams as an enterprise cloud subject matter expert to differentiate and paint the roadmap of Google Cloud to our customers. You will help prospective customers and partners understand the power of Google Cloud, explaining technical features, helping customers design architectures, engaging in proof-of-concepts, and troubleshooting potential roadblocks.
Responsibilities
- Work with the team to identify and qualify business opportunities, understand key customer technical objections, and develop a strategy to resolve technical blockers.
- Provide in-depth enterprise infrastructure/cloud modernization expertise to support the technical relationship with Google's customers, including product and solution briefings, proof-of-concept work, and partnering directly with product management to prioritize solutions impacting customer adoption to Google Cloud.
- Guide customers through assessments of their existing legacy application environments, provide recommendations on a prioritization roadmap for application modernization, and identify applications for migration to hybrid-cloud computing models.
- Structure and execute prototyping workshops to prove out proposed architectures, developing best practices, and documenting key blocking requirements for prioritization with engineering.
- Travel to customer sites, conferences, and other related events.
