Minimum qualifications:

  • Experience documenting best practices for refrigerator operations
  • Experience with the operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of a refrigerator or gas handling system in a production or research environment.
  • Experience in assembling and test mechanical systems.
Preferred qualifications:
  • Experience operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting dilution refrigerators or cryostat
  • Leak checking and assembly skills relevant to vacuum or gas handling systems.

  • Knowledge of machining and mechanical testing.

In the R&D lab, you design test equipment for prototypes of our machinery and develop the protocols used to scale these tests for the entire global team. The US base salary range for this full-time position is $81,000-$119,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Manage coordinate and overview of cryostat installation
  • Execute routine and unplanned cryostat operation, and have technical ownership of operations documentation
  • Implement changes to cryostat operations to improve reliability and resource efficiency
  • Train other team members who need to perform cryostat operations
  • Define software tools for monitoring cryostats, assisting operations, and tracking operational history
