Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 14 years of experience in compliance, risk management, investigation, auditing, legal, or consulting.
  • 10 years of experience in a people management, supervision, or team leadership role.
Preferred qualifications:
  • An advanced degree in a relevant field (e.g., law, business, compliance) or a recognized compliance certification is preferred.
  • Experience in identifying potential risks and developing innovative solutions to ensure ongoing compliance and mitigate potential issues.
  • Experience in bringing structure and clarity to complex and ambiguous situations.
  • Experience in influencing decision-making at all levels with the excellent investigative skills.
  • Knowledge of compliance program management principles, risk assessment methodologies, and internal control frameworks. .
  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, executive management, regulators, and external stakeholders.

The newly formed Risk, Compliance and Integrity organization (RCI) brings together critical compliance, assurance, risk and governance functions across Google to help the company meet compliance needs and enable our businesses to innovate. Our goal is to make compliance an engaged advantage for Google by driving scaled, data-driven, and policy-based compliance programs. We manage our operations through risk-based prioritization and governance and consistent and constructive regulator engagement.The US base salary range for this full-time position is $202,000-$287,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Define and implement AI policies, identifying risk areas, designing policy approaches, and overseeing adoption across product areas.
  • Lead the team in analyzing product features, defining structured testing methodologies aligned with Google's safety, neutrality, and fairness standards, and delivering clear, actionable insights and recommendations.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify policy gaps, develop new policies, and create and execute detailed implementation plans, ensuring robust, compliance and risk management programs.
  • Team Leadership: Lead, motivate, and empower a team of Risk, Compliance, & Integrity program and policy managers, providing clear direction, fostering talent, building a collaborative culture, and managing performance.

  • AdvocateAI compliance initiatives within Google and the industry, sharing expertise and building relationships with stakeholders to ensure collaboration and program implementation.
