Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 2 years of experience working in a power electronics or battery design technical environment, or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree.
- Experience in battery chemistry and electrochemical energy storage technologies.
- Experience with battery pack design, simulation, validation, and testing.
- Master's degree or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, or a related field.
- Experience in data center power system design or stationary energy storage system design.
- Experience with power electronic laboratory measurement techniques and equipment, with knowledge of scripting languages such as Python/Perl.
- Knowledge of power electronics, battery chemistries and degradation mechanisms, and various battery module electrical architectures.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work with cross-functional project teams.
- Excellent analytical and organizational skills with attention to detail.

As a Battery Hardware Engineer, you will design and build the systems for computing infrastructure. You will play a key role in the development of growing computing infrastructures, and will work as part of a team to deliver innovative power solutions for data center computing applications.
The US base salary range for this full-time position is $122,000-$178,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Responsibilities
- Innovate and design on rack and data center battery backup and product specifications and solutions including battery management systems, battery modules, and analyze performance, cost, reliability, and availability trade-offs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand application requirements, partner with battery, and power industry leaders to lead the evaluation and adoption of technologies.
- Perform system trade off analysis and study of backup power options in data center applications.
- Lead projects that involve new technologies or new uses of multiple existing technologies.
- Engage cross-functionally to ensure roll-out, testing, and complete validation.
