Application Engineer, Legal and Risk Engineering

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or other technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  
• 4 years of experience working with Java programming.

Preferred qualifications:

• Master's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems or related technical field or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience working with one or more front-end programming languages including but not limited to Javascript, TypeScript or Angular.

You lead all aspects of web development, requirements gathering, software development, testing, documentation, training, implementation, ongoing support, and maintenance for both in-house and customer-facing web applications. You will work closely with a cross-functional team of Googlers using UI and functional specs/prototypes as input. The US base salary range for this full-time position is $122,000-$178,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

• Write clear, modular, well-structured, and self-sustaining codes, and develop overall systems design, research, and evaluate vendor supplied applications, and develop recommendations on those applications.
• Build internal solutions, with custom front-end and back-end services with assistance, and identify processes and solutions to ensure control compliance can be enforced and monitored.
• Help design, build, and deploy internal business applications to support Google's technology life-cycle, collaboration and spaces, service delivery management, and data and business intelligence.
• Conduct and oversee testing of application modules to ensure application meets specifications and collaborate with analysts and business process owners within one or more teams to help translate business requirements into technical solutions.
