  • Experience working with big data platforms such as BigQuery, F1, or Spanner.
  • Experience with Kimball data modeling and BUS architecture.
  • Experience automating data reconciliations for large scale financial data marts with low tolerances for data error.
  • Experience with GCP stack.
  • Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and best practices.

You lead all aspects of web development, requirements gathering, software development, testing, documentation, training, implementation, ongoing support, and maintenance for both in-house and customer-facing web applications. You will work closely with a cross-functional team of Googlers using UI and functional specs/prototypes as input. You are empowered to act like an owner, take action and innovate to meet user and customer needs.

From developing forward-thinking analysis to generating management reports to scaling our automated financial processes, the Finance Works BI organization is an important partner and advisor to strategic decision makers.

The team is scaling out a centralized source of truth for all of Google's financial data built on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Core technology. Our pipelines scale to process billions of records per hour and serve Google Finance's most time sensitive and critical processes. This data warehouse will serve as a foundation for a next generation analytics platform to deliver fully reconciled financial reporting and leverage the latest in data science/ML to forecast and optimize Google's financial operations.
The US base salary range for this full-time position is $102,000-$150,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and support exceptional business intelligence and analytical pipelines and applications using GCP, internal, and third-party tools.
  • Develop complex, big data pipelines and report solutions with extremely low tolerances for data error.
  • Lead design, data modeling, architecture, coding, performance tuning, testing, and support of analytical systems. Ownership of the complete software development lifecycle.
  • Maintain the highest levels of development practices including technical design, solution development, systems configuration, test documentation/execution, issue identification and resolution, writing clean, modular, and self-sustaining code.
  • Implement projects in a multi-stakeholder and dynamic environment to achieve team and project goals.
