Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, a related quantitative field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 4 years of experience in accounting practice or public multinational companies in process improvements.
  • Ability to communicate in English fluently to support client relationship management in this region.
Preferred qualifications:
  • 6 years of experience in an audit function with knowledge of local financial, tax and compliance requirements in India.
  • Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems such as SAP.
  • Experience in SQL and spreadsheet management.
  • Understanding of accounting principles, including US GAAP, IFRS, and related international accounting standards

You'll advise on financial reports required by governmental regulations, and review, analyze, and interpret financial and budgetary reports. From developing forward-thinking analysis to generating management reports to scaling our automated financial processes, the Finance organization is an important partner and advisor to the business.

    Responsibilities

    • Be accountable for accuracy, timeliness, effectiveness, and efficiency of all processes related to controllership for Google Payments in the APAC region and Payment entities in APAC.
    • Build relationships with regional and functional partners to ensure scalable solutions. Drive the global agenda for eliminating, automating, standardizing external processes to deliver efficiencies and improved controls.
    • Ensure all month-end and year-end reporting within statutory/agreed timelines, Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX) requirements and filing deadlines are met. Work with external providers to review work and implement new initiatives.
    • Recognize potential areas of risk and develop risk management solutions.
    • Assist in preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual close presentations for accounting and controls management, and collaborate with global Business Finance and Controllership teams to ensure consistency and efficiency across presentations.
