Divisional Overview
The Corporate Planning & Management (CPM) Division unifies Finance & Planning, Spend Management, Operational Risk and Resilience, and CPM Engineering teams to deliver business planning and analytics, expense management, third party risk management, and governance strategies across the firm. CPM have 5 operating pillars.
Finance & Planning supports the execution of the firm's strategic objectives through the management of the planning process, firmwide reporting and analytics and insights into the firm's business plans and budgets. They develop consistent framework for revenue division projections creating transparency, accountability, and efficiency around projections. This pillar also includes the CF&O, EO and Engineering divisional CFOs, who are strategic finance advisors helping the firm and the non-revenue divisions achieve commercial financial opportunities. Product Finance is responsible for the overall governance and proactive management of the firm's non-compensation expenses. Spend Management encompasses the functions responsible for managing all aspects of the firm's spend with third parties - advising commercial agreements and driving operating efficiency. Departments include Strategic Sourcing, Procure to Pay, Integrated Travel and Expense, Infrastructure and Transformation and Sustainable Operations. Operational Risk & Resilience drives firmwide Operational Risk programs along with second line teams and implements required changes within CPM. The Corporate Insurance & Advisory team in this pillar identifies, procures, and manages corporate insurance needs for the firm and its investing businesses. The CPM Engineering team provides engineering solutions that enable the firm to manage third-party spend, data and automation, plan budgets, forecast financial scenarios, allocate expenses and support corporate decision making in-line with the firm's strategic objectives.

Role Overview
The Corporate Insurance & Advisory function (Corporate Insurance) at Goldman Sachs is responsible for managing property, casualty, and management liability insurance needs of the Firm and its various investing businesses. Primary responsibilities include mapping operational risk to insurance solutions, procurement, administration, and management of the firm's insurance programs. The team provides advisory and insurance diligence across its investing business and it's transactions. The team is seeking an Analyst with strong acumen in analytics and interest in insurance and/or risk management to assist in executing the firm's insurance strategy.
Job responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Prepare and support insurance renewal submissions, collection of underwriting data and coordination with internal stakeholders and operating partners
- Ensure the source and flow of data underneath all the analytics is accurate
- Utilize natural catastrophe model outputs and actuarial studies to review risk exposure and modify insurance coverage
- Perform analysis of risk exposures and insurance claims analysis across the firmwide portfolio
- Maintain schedule of insurance coverage and key data inputs (including carriers, limits, key terms, dates, premium, etc.).
- Participate on insurance advisory and due diligence across corporate, real estate, commodities, and infrastructure transactions
- Assist in global insurance premium allocations and quarterly adjustment calculations as needed
- Post renewal policy administration including but not limited to premium payment tracking, global policy issuance and payment coordination
- Manage and track claims related activity including documentation, loss runs, claim reviews, internal and external communications with brokers / carriers
- Administer and ensure data integrity in Risk Management Information (RIMIS) system
- Monitor vendor key performance indicators, vendor on-boarding coordination as required
- Assist on department initiatives and projects as needed including documentation of industry benchmarking and metrics.
- Assist project management team on platform project initiatives (procedures, exposure, and data analytic and reporting, departmental initiatives)
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in risk management, real estate and/or finance
- Experience insurance risk management (e.g. in house risk management team, broker or insurance company) is plus
- Enthusiastic, intellectually curious and desire to understand the different business activities of the firm ability to identify and synthesize operational risk data and insurance mitigation
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a strong delivery focus
- Strong data analytics skills with the ability to work with large sets of data (Advanced excel, VBA)
- Strong organizational skills with experience working to meet deadlines in a highly dynamic environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Experience working in Risk Management Information Systems (RIMS) a plus
- Possess a bachelor's degree
