OUR IMPACT

The Conflicts Resolution Group ("CRG") is a control function with a primary objective to identify and mitigate the firm's actual or perceived conflicts of interest and associated reputational risks which may result from the firm taking on a new role, responsibility, or position on a potential deal or with a potential counterparty. CRG Engineering plays a critical role in development and support of software solutions aligned with the CRG objectives for improved risk management for the firm and ensuring a timely turnaround for our revenue divisions.

HOW YOU WILL FULFILL YOUR POTENTIAL

As a member of our team, you will

  • have an opportunity to work on a broad range of problems, often dealing with large data sets, including real-time processing, messaging, workflow and UI/UX
  • partner globally across the division and various engineering teams to create end-to-end solutions.
  • innovate and incubate new ideas, and you will learn and share the knowledge across the organization.
  • be responsible for designing, implementing, testing, deploying, and maintaining software systems across the full stack of our products.
  • leverage various technologies like Java, React/Angular; Elastic, MongoDB, SQL and CI/CD platform such as Gitlab, Kubernetes.

An additional key part of engineering life at Goldman Sachs is the migration of legacy applications into these new stacks.

QUALIFICATIONS

A successful candidate will possess the following attributes:

  • A bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a similar field of study
  • 5+ years of software professional experience
  • Expertise in Java based web development environments
  • Experience in automated testing and SDLC concepts
  • relational or document databases
  • The ability (and tenacity) to clearly express ideas and arguments in meetings and on paper
  • Willingness to learn and collaborate with others

Experience in some of the following is desired and can set you apart from other candidates:

  • UI/UX development
  • API design, such as to create interconnected services,
  • message buses or real time processing,
  • knowledge of the financial industry and compliance or risk functions,
  • influencing stakeholders
