Our division prevents, detects and mitigates compliance, regulatory and reputational risk across the firm and helps to strengthen the firm's culture of compliance. Compliance accomplishes these through the firm's enterprise-wide compliance risk management program. As an independent control function and part of the firm's second line of defense, Compliance assesses the firm's compliance, regulatory and reputational risk; monitors for compliance with new or amended laws, rules and regulations; designs and implements controls, policies, procedures and training; conducts independent testing; investigates, surveils and monitors for compliance risks and breaches; and leads the firm's responses to regulatory examinations, audits and inquiries. You'll be part of a team with members from a wide range of academic and professional backgrounds, such as law, accounting, sales, and trading. We look for those who possess sound judgment, curiosity, and are able to adapt to a changing regulatory landscape.

Financial Crime Compliance
Financial Crime Compliance ("FCC") coordinates Goldman Sachs' enterprise-wide Anti-Money Laundering (AML), economic Sanctions and Anti-Bribery Compliance efforts. The combined FCC team administers an array of surveillances, due diligence, investigative expertise, and other control processes designed to identify potential money laundering, terrorist financing, bribery, securities fraud, market abuse and other violations of law.
The ideal candidate would have strong analytical skills, the ability to collaborate with others, manage workflows and multi-task. In this role, the team member will work closely with colleagues located both domestically and internationally, and would be expected to quickly gain an understanding of the firm's consumer businesses and the rules and regulations under which the firm operates. The candidate may assist with oversight of vendors and will be required to provide daily/weekly status updates in a clear and concise manner to internal and external stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree
• Working knowledge of different financial products.
• Inquisitive and proactive in identifying risks and proposing solutions.
• Good interpersonal skills and excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Candidate must be proactive, enthusiastic and team oriented.
• Ability to work with a variety of senior and junior people and build smooth working relationships.
• Highest attention to detail.
• Good team player - one who is able to prioritize in a fast moving, constantly changing environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to exercise sound and balanced judgment.
• Ability to handle multiple projects/tasks independently and work under tight deadlines.
• MS Office proficiency: advanced knowledge of PowerPoint and Excel is preferred
• Proficiency in data analytics platforms (e.g., Python, Alteryx) and data visualization and reporting tools (e.g., Tableau)

Functional Responsibilities:
• Partner with Business Personnel, Compliance Officers, and Compliance Engineering to develop and/or enhance system controls, surveillances, best practices and associated policies, procedures and training.
• Participating in global Compliance projects & initiatives driven by compliance or business requirements that help mitigate risk
• Supporting responses to regulatory and internal reviews and audits
• Apply a consistent approach across businesses, products and regions.
• Develop and/or enhance systematic processes for escalating issues.
• Coordinate issues, findings and practices with colleagues across regions and/or divisions and bring them to conclusion.
