Quantitative Equity Solutions:
Quantitative Equity Solutions or QES manages over $100 billion across a variety of mandates including institutional portfolios, funds and separately managed accounts (SMAs). We employ a mix of sophisticated quantitative models, that have been developed in an innovative research environment, and loss harvesting strategies to help our clients achieve better after-tax returns. As one of the longest-running quantitative teams in the industry, QES has developed a strong reputation for innovation, excellence and teamwork.
How you will fulfill your potential
As a Vice-President in the QES Engineering team, you will be working in a close-knit environment with Portfolio Managers, Technologists and Strategists to design and develop proprietary platforms that drive the QES business, spanning alternative data acquisition, quantitative research, model generation, portfolio construction, monitoring and trading at scale.
Skills and Experience we are looking for --
• Master's or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related Engineering Field
• 6+ years of Java development and other programming languages with experience in Object Oriented Analysis, Design and testing best practices
• 2+ years experience in building scalable and distributed platforms
• Prior experience in working with Concert, Vert.x is a plus
• Prior experience with Cloud migration/adoption is a plus
• Knowledge of Javascript and frontend frameworks like Angular, ReactJS is a plus
• Self-motivated with analytical mindset who can multi-task to solve interesting and difficult technical problems under time pressure and resource constraints
• Experience with all stages of the development lifecycle: inception, analysis, design, review, testing, and deployment
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
