Responsibilities

About the role:

The Remarketing Solutions Inspection Specialist is responsible for coordinating the completion of off lease inspections for lease vehicle inventory at the assigned GMF Distribution Center in a timely and cost efficient manner. The Remarketing Solutions Inspection Specialist will be responsible for completing a wide variety of complex tasks and will interact with inspection vendors, transportation providers, Distribution Center employees, Remarketing Specialists, and auctions to ensure optimal business results and objectives are achieved. Responsibilities will include coordinating inspection completions directly and with assigned Distribution Center staff, coordination of vehicle inspection requests, vendor system feedback, and other responsibilities related to vehicle inspections. Coordination with internal departments to ensure the efficient movement of vehicles will be required. This position will be located in Flat Rock, MI.

In this role you will:

  • Coordinate completion of all vehicle inspections for off-lease units received at the Flat Rock Distribution Center
  • Review and analyze off-lease inspections for description accuracy and guideline compliance
  • Monitor inspection related reports/dashboards to take appropriate action by following set procedures
  • Support Distribution Center Manager with the redistribution of inventory for high-volume auction locations when determined necessary
  • Support Customer Experience objectives by providing exceptional customer service to our vendors, dealers, and GM Financial colleagues
  • Assist as necessary with shipment of outbound vehicles to assure proper distribution to intended venues
  • Perform/assist with inventory and vendor audits as necessary

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of off-lease inspections, auction, and/or remarketing industry is required
  • Experience managing inspection vendors and/or auction processes is preferred
  • Knowledge of remarketing vendor systems such as AutoIMS, OpenLane's platform, and AutoVIN
  • Must possess the ability to work independently, be self-motivated, and possess strong time management abilities
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with an ability to maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, vendor personnel, and management
  • Ability to professionally represent GM Financial with dealers, internal customers, and vendor/auction personnel during all interactions
  • Outstanding communication and organizational skills
  • Detail oriented with strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Team player with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office products
  • Working knowledge of state and federal laws
  • Working knowledge of management processes such as planning, budgeting and financial analysis
  • Working knowledge and understanding of established remarketing process

Experience

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience preferred
  • 2-4 years of previous inspection experience (automotive or non-automotive) preferred
  • 2-4 years of automotive remarketing experience in both online and physical auction sales preferred
  • 0-2 years of automotive finance industry experience and/or IARA Certified Automotive Remarketer/CAR certification preferred
