This role is responsible for using data mining, validation, and analytical techniques to provide operational support for all Servicing departments within the GM Financial Consumer Services group. Collaborating with teammates and Servicing management is expected and encouraged. Servicing auto finance accounts is a fast-moving, fast-changing, fast-paced world that requires learning agility. We are looking for candidates at various levels of experience to join our team as Operations Analyst. This position is a full-time opportunity. We are not able to provide sponsorship at this time.

Responsibilities

About the role:

The Servicing Operations Analyst has responsibility for assisting in creating, documenting, monitoring and evaluating servicing performance, servicing process standardization, servicing policies, servicing automation and strategically executing on Company initiatives. To perform these functions, the Servicing Operations Analyst will effectively serve in a liaison capacity, collaborating with resources from other functional areas including Audit, Servicing Analytics, Legal, Compliance and the center leadership teams.

In this role you will:

  • Collaborate with Servicing operational and administrative management
  • Ensure efficiencies and excellence in daily functions
  • Perform reporting, ad hoc data mining, and analytical functions as needed to support information requests from all Servicing departments
  • Utilize best practices of data analysis and validation to ensure data results are accurate
  • Enhance knowledge of operational and portfolio metrics to assess risk
  • Conduct data and business analysis utilizing data mining and spreadsheet skills
  • Communicate findings, develop recommendations, and present analyses to management in a clear, concise, convincing, and actionable format
  • Represent Servicing Analytics in enterprise project
  • Manage projects independently

  • SQL (Base SAS preferred)

Experience

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Bachelor's Degree in related field or equivalent work experience required
  • Master's Degree in MIS, Finance, Economics, or Business preferred
  • Ops Analyst I: 0-2 years working with data mining (SQL), experience large multi-table datasets and consumer loan/lease portfolio servicing analysis.
  • Ops Analyst II: 2-3 years data analysis and validation techniques required; report or spreadsheet modeling, querying large multi-table dataset and date presentation with consumer loan/lease portfolio servicing analysis preferred
