About the role

The Business Analyst - Commercial Risk Applications will be an integral part of the Global Commercial Applications team and will collaborate with a multicultural Scrum team and end users in Brazil, Mexico, Peru, Colombia, and Chile to gather and review Wholesale application requirements, assist in UAT, and ensure clear communication between stakeholders and developers, while actively participating in Agile ceremonies and providing insights to enhance product development and delivery. The individual will report to the Commercial Risk Applications Manager based in Sao Paulo, Brazil.

What you need

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Commercial Operations experience highly desirable
  • English fluency required, Spanish and/or Portuguese knowledge highly desirable
  • Solid proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite skills, including PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Power BI
  • Knowledge or experience in Agile project management and working within a Scrum team environment desirable
  • Must possess the ability to prioritize assignments to meet required deadlines
  • Must be very comfortable interacting with people across functions, departments, countries, and levels in the company
  • Excellent communication (verbal and written), presentation and project management skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with ever-changing priorities
  • Ability to prioritize on the fly as dictated by daily emerging issues
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative
  • Robust problem-solving capabilities, and excellent data analysis skills
  • Self-starter, with the ability to see beyond the obvious and creatively research user issues
  • Able to handle complex cross-functional business challenges
  • Analytical mind-set, business-results oriented, ethical and high integrity

What you will be doing

  • Facilitate requirement capture workshops, resolving complex issues including any stakeholder conflicts
  • Engage with the end-users and create mockups with a visual representation of their requirements
  • Engage with the external development team located in India, England and Argentina, to ensure requirements are fully understood, clearly documented and uploaded into Azure DevOps tool
  • Support Product Owner to ensure that requirements backlog is up to date and prioritized according to business and users' needs, engaging with all branches involved
  • Stay abreast of business process changes and advise project team of any potential impacts to the system
  • Assist with User Training of all new functionality
  • Assist with Pre-UAT and UAT by engaging with testers, compiling results and assisting the Release team as needed
  • Assist in researching system issues/inquiries and resolving as necessary, including those requiring additional team resources for resolution
  • Provide end user support with various business questions related to use of the system for LAO
  • Assist with ongoing new project work as requested
  • Be a focal point for GSW in IO, collaborating with users, IT team, stakeholders, and business team daily
