Responsibilities

About the role:

The Cybersecurity Team Lead is responsible for providing support, guidance, and oversight for a variety of Cybersecurity initiatives, projects, and teams; while enhancing transparency, efficiency, alignment and reporting between key stakeholders and Cybersecurity. This includes strategic planning, executive reporting, issue management, and identifying and implementing process improvements and efficiencies across the Cybersecurity organization.

The Cybersecurity Team Lead (Governance & Oversight) has four main functions:
Governance: Provide governance and oversight of key initiatives from intake through completion while managing associated workloads and resource demands. Establish and manage operational dashboards that provide real-time key metrics for resources and efforts.
Executive Reporting: Create Executive reporting on key Cybersecurity efforts with associated timelines, risks, dependencies, and issues.
Escalation Support: Coordinate and support escalated issues, urgent timelines, and key risks for timely resolution. Facilitate meetings between various Cybersecurity teams and key stakeholders to resolve open issues.
Cross-Cybersecurity Support: Support Cybersecurity teams throughout their processes, with a focus on process enhancement, automation, and execution on administrative and lower priority efforts.

• Demonstrated ability to create and manage tracking systems and boards to effectively monitor complex initiatives across multiple resources.
• Demonstrated ability to establish KPIs that evidence the effectiveness of the completion of initiatives that vary in scope.
• Demonstrated ability to establish and follow a prioritization framework.
• Demonstrated interest and passion for cybersecurity, with relevant education, certifications, or work experience.
• Demonstrated ability to learn quickly, adapt to changing requirements, and apply new knowledge to real-world problems.
• Willingness to continuously improve skills and knowledge, and to pursue additional training and certifications to advance in the field.
• Demonstrated application of Agile methodology including principles, practices, and frameworks.
• Strong knowledge of security controls aligning to Cybersecurity Guiding Principles.
• Knowledge of network fundamentals, basic security concepts like firewalls and intrusion detection systems, common network protocols, operating system security, malware identification.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Conform with all company policies and procedures.

Experience & Education

  • 5-7 years of years of experience in large and complex business environments with a successful track record working directly with senior level management with at least 3 years of experience in one or more of the following domains: Cybersecurity, Information Security, Network Engineering or Operations, Information Technology, Application Development, Access Control, Security Governance, Risk Management, Software Development Security, Cryptography, Security Architecture and Design, Operational Security, Business Continuity & Disaster Recovery, Legal Regulations, Investigations and Compliance, Physical (Environmental) Security, IT or Security Audit, IT or Security Compliance preferred
  • Bachelor's Degree in related field or equivalent work experience strongly preferred
