Responsibilities

About the role

The Business Automation Analyst will equip and assist the global workforce with the delivery of multiple citizen-built business automation initiatives. This role will work closely with citizen builders to translate manual tasks into automations using technology like Automation Anywhere and/or Microsoft Power Platform. The analyst will train, monitor and assist the builder to ensure that all policies are followed. This team member will be a strong communicator and have experience using technology to transform how an organization performs work.

In this role you will:

  • Monitor and assist builder in completing all necessary training to meet compliance.
  • Assist builder in defining the process requirements for automation, clarify the inputs and expected outputs and create the necessary automation documentation
  • Assists with the successful deployment, adoption, and transformation of employee technology services across the global enterprise
  • Promote and support the benefits of automation
  • Work closely with the technology solutions team to ensure all requirements are accurately documented
  • Educate users on the automation lifecycle and guide them through the implementation process
  • Identify and recommend automation improvement concepts and techniques
  • Use strong interpersonal skills to communicate effectively via email, virtual or in person
  • Communicate new ideas and perspectives

  • Lean Six Sigma Green/Black belt certification a plus
  • Automation certification in Automation Anywhere, MS Power Platform, Blue Prism or UiPath preferred
  • Knowledge of GM Financial or another auto finance company core business functions, policies and procedures a plus
  • Experience with various automation and productivity tools

Education and Experience

  • High School Diploma required
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience preferred
    • 3 years of demonstrated experience as a business analyst or similar role required
    • Proven track record of solving difficult problems in an enterprise environment required
    • 1 year working on automation or other technology initiatives as a business analyst or other applicable role preferred
    • Experience working with both the business and IT to deliver business value preferred
    • Lean Six Sigma Green/Black belt certification preferred
