GLAUKOS - FACILITIES TECHNICIAN
How will you make an impact?
The Facilities Technician will perform a variety of work in the maintenance and repair of the global headquarters location in Aliso Viejo including tenant improvements (electrical, plumbing, carpentry, drywall, and painting) and janitorial as needed.
This individual will also apply their skills in the preventive and unexpected in-process maintenance of production equipment for commercial products and equipment used in pre-commercial products to ensure ongoing performance, in compliance with EHS, Good Manufacturing and Good Documentation Practices, and other applicable quality and regulatory guidelines associated with medical device manufacturing.

What will you do?
Maintenance
- Perform both scheduled and unscheduled preventive maintenance routines on a range of complex equipment to confirm / validate user operation and avoid program down time.
- Check for failures in more complex equipment and processes and perform corrective actions to affected areas that have down time, including conducting and writing impact assessment reports of incidents.
- Review, follow and perform check list actions for all equipment in compliance with established work instructions and adherence with SOPs, including recording traceable information on device history records and enters information into appropriate system.
- Troubleshoot and recommend maintenance to limit downtime, to keep production on schedule, and to ensure ongoing validation compliance.
- Apply in-depth knowledge of processes in the use of equipment / machines to ensure successful outcomes.
- Collaborate with Quality in devising and implementing corrective actions, and Out of Tolerance situations, etc.
- Provide training, coaching, guidance, and information as requested and needed to cross functional support.
- Support process/ equipment qualification, executing protocols and manufacturing process validations.
- Develop and write maintenance SOP's as needed.
- Take ownership of CMMS tasks to ensure a compliant system.
- Mine CMMS for equipment performance trends and make recommendations for improvement.
- Communicate with cross functional groups including Operations, Engineering, Quality, R&D on equipment performance.
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- HazMat Certified
- Knowledge of compressors and HVAC, water and purification systems desired
