About the role

We are looking for a Demo Engineer to join Gladly’s Solutions Consultant team on a full-time basis. In this role, you’ll be responsible for building customized demo datasets that empower our Solutions Consultants to showcase Gladly’s platform in a way that resonates with potential customers. You will also develop and maintain internal tools for our sales team, create and integrate apps into our demo environments, and build automated testing to ensure demo stability. This role is engineering-heavy, with a focus on coding, scripting, and automation, but does not involve direct demo delivery to customers. The ideal candidate has experience in full-stack development, a passion for automation, and enjoys working on tools that directly impact sales and customer success.

What you’ll do

  • Develop and maintain demo datasets that can be customized for different customer experiences.
  • Build and integrate applications into demo environments using Gladly’s App Platform.
  • Create and maintain internal tools for the Sales and Solutions Consultant teams to improve the demo process.
  • Ensure demo stability by developing and running automated end-to-end testing.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Sales, Solutions Consulting, Engineering, and Product Marketing.
  • Streamline processes and help document internal tools and workflows for greater team efficiency.

You might be a fit if you

  • Have 2+ years (ideally 3-5) of full-stack development experience.
  • Are proficient in JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, or Go.
  • Have experience in automation, scripting, and building test automation.
  • Understand APIs, including GraphQL.
  • Enjoy working on tools that enable other teams and contribute to the overall sales process.
  • Are excited to learn new technologies and improve your skills.
  • Have strong empathy for end-users and can put yourself in the shoes of the customer, both internal and external.
  • Communicate well and are comfortable working across teams with various stakeholders.
  • (Bonus) Have experience with the technologies we use: JavaScript, React, Node, Python, Go, GraphQL.
