Role Description
The Technical Operations Program Manager will work on cross-product and cross-team initiatives, working closely with a cross-functional team to plan, execute, and deliver projects, and deploy new technologies to local markets and surrounding communities. In this role, you will manage the day-to-day operations, milestone tracking, and completion of projects related to the construction of our OSP FTTH network.You will be responsible for everything that happens downstream of Engineering/Permitting including pre-construction planning, construction execution/sequencing, and splicing/testing for project turnover and acceptance to downstream stakeholders.

In this role, you'll:
- Quality Management - Ensures projects are built according to approved engineered design plans and GFiber Standards in adherence to current contracts, SOW's, and municipal requirements. Fosters an open, transparent, and cross-discipline change management process when deviations are necessary during execution.
- Project Management - manage project budgets, scheduling, resource/activity planning, activity sequencing and prioritization, Vendor performance tracking, project dependency awareness, financial reporting, invoice approval, and material management.
- Vendor Management - manage, develop, maintain, and drive the Vendor construction schedule with the project team. Ensures project milestones and delivery dates are aligned with business commitments.
- Communicate progress effectively and work with internal/external stakeholders to ensure that projects are scoped properly and handed off seamlessly for network acceptance. Including the GFiber OSP team in coordinating.
At a minimum we'd like you to have:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- Program/Project Management experience within large scope, capital intensive, technical scopes of work.
- 5 years Vendor Management experience directly managing vendor resources, performance management, and accountability for project-based deliveries.
- Experience scheduling projects, capital tracking/forecasting, reporting project status and costs versus commitments, and providing insights/ influence to commercial terms with contractors and vendors.
It's preferred if you have:
- Bachelor's degree with 5 years equivalent practical experience.
- PMP, PgMP or other project management certification.
- years Project/Program Management experience.
- 10 years in a Vendor Management role.
- Experience managing capital, operational and technical programs.
- Experience managing telecommunication infrastructure, Fiber to the Home/Plant (FTTx) operations and/or outside plant (OSP) projects.
- Understanding CAD, GIS systems and FTTH records/As-builts.
- Demonstrated ability to employ quality troubleshooting skills and creative problem solving abilities under pressure.
- Excellent analytical qualities to monitor/review vendors' financial and operational performances. Strong analytical and solution oriented background skills with great people skills; strong structured problem solving capabilities.
- Proven conflict resolution skills, meet deadlines and handle multiple competing priorities.
The US base salary range for this full-time position is between $154,000 - $169,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Your recruiter will share more about the specific salary range for your targeted location during the hiring process.
