Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Be diligent, punctual and behave in a responsible manner and in accordance with the requirements of Health and Safety legislation relating to the apprentice's responsibilities as an individual and always promote the company's best interests.
- Strive to meet targets and achieve WTG technician accreditation.
- Engage in training, courses, and work assignments to meet apprenticeship standards.
- Gain practical experience and theoretical knowledge, obtaining recognized wind industry qualifications, which are recognised and fully transferable.
- Participate in construction activities of GE's WTG's with excellent communication and adherence to work processes.
- Demonstrate teamwork, motivation, and pride in your work.
Education / Experience Requirements:
- Five GCSEs or equivalent at Grade C (4) or above, including Maths, English, and Science.
- Proficiency in English.
- Comfortable working at heights and in remote environments.
- Strong commitment to the role and apprenticeship.
- Confident personality with good verbal and written communication skills.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and in teams.
- Good problem-solving skills and IT proficiency, especially with Microsoft packages.
Additional Information:
- Year 1 will be full time college attendance (with onsite experience during term breaks), subsequent years will involve rotations to different sites, with day release to attend college.
- Travel to different sites required- UK driver's license desirable.
- Must have the right to work in the UK full-time.
- At the point of offer, there will be an Offshore Medical and Fitness Test to pass.
- Weight limit set at 136 kilos, including climbing equipment, due to safety harness requirements.
