Job Description
In this role you will be involved in developing, implementing, and leading the sourcing strategy for external equipment as well as subcontracts/site works for the HVAC (High Voltage Alternative Current) Systems, HVDC (High Voltage Direct Current) and FACTS (Flexible AC Transmission System) Substations Turnkey Projects in Central Europe region. This role is responsible for achieving competitive costs and implementing effective costing structure that mitigate risks while ensuring the project schedule is being met.

Connect sourcing imperatives with the product lines strategies and to aim at creating One team by increasing collaboration and synergies with different stakeholders in the work location, other functions, regions, and business lines.
Involve all Sourcing activities in the ITO (Inquiry to Order) opportunity preparation & optimization.
Manage a vendor list based on Global Sourcing strategy. Lead identifying and qualifying more suppliers and subcontractors for achieving competitive advantages and with aim of winning more tenders by foreseeing efficient execution of the projects based on SQDC (Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost) priorities in sustainable sourcing environment.
Roles and Tasks
- Vendor and Subcontractor development, qualification (Civil work and Installation of mechanical and Electrical) Supplier/Subcontractor relation and panel mapping
- Guidance for Firming / MIM (Material & Labour Inflation Mitigation) / CPA (Contract Price Adjustment) / NPI (New Product Introduction) / DMP (Direct Material Productivity)
- Support different phases of tendering process (Deal Desk Review) for Commercial Reviews including DD0, DD1, DD2, and Execution Reviews.
- Developing in-depth knowledge of business disciplines. Uses prior experience and acquired expertise to execute functional policy/strategy.
- Manage Contract Terms and Conditions. Assure a flow down of the Terms and Conditions to limit the GE Vernova exposition and risks associated.
- Manage master planning for sourcing in conjunction with the overall tenders, projects planning/scheduling team.
- Work closely with engineering, operations, and commercial teams to understand timelines and requirements for supplier identification in tender stage.
- RFQ process including evaluate Offers and negotiate costs for material, equipment and site works to support of commercial bids for HVAC, FACTS, HVDC, and Services projects.
- Coordinate with Commodity Leaders, Tender Sourcing Leader and Site Sourcing Leader to ensure suppliers are quoted and selected that can meet quality, specifications, timelines and cost parameters of budget and are aligned with global sourcing strategies.
- Involve in the cost breakdown structure for electromechanical and construction scope and support for should cost preparation.
- A job at this level is expected to have skills and capabilities as individual contributor. Communication with colleagues and other functions about design and coordination services rendered. Provide guidance to new team members. Explains complex information to others in straightforward situations.
- Reporting (Monthly Operating Review) and follow up of the KPIs
Qualification/Requirement
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration or similar, Master level degree preferred.
- 6+ years validated experience in Sourcing / Supply chain functions/Tender process, in high voltage electrical / construction project environment.
- Excellent negotiation, strategic planning, and project management capabilities.
- Familiarity with sustainability and risk management practices in supply chain.
- Ability to analyze market trends and make data-driven decisions.
- Fluent in German and English
- HVAC/ HVDC/FACTS Substation EPC Tender process knowledge
