Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Metrology Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating, programming, and managing Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) to ensure the highest standards of precision and accuracy in our measurements and inspections.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate CMM Machines: Utilize CMM machines to measure and inspect various components with a high degree of accuracy.
• Programming: Develop and execute CMM programs for complex geometries and ensure they meet industry and ASTM standards.
• Quality Control: Perform detailed inspections and measurements, analyze data, and prepare comprehensive reports on findings.
• Maintenance: Regularly maintain and calibrate CMM machines to ensure optimal performance.
• Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve issues related to CMM operations and measurements.
• Documentation: Maintain detailed records of inspections, calibrations, and maintenance activities.
• Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, including engineering and production, to ensure seamless integration of CMM processes into overall production workflow.
• Continuous Improvement: Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance measurement accuracy, efficiency, and overall quality.

• Education: Diploma or degree in Metrology, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience: Preferred minimum of 3 years of experience operating and programming CMM machines.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in CMM software and a strong understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
