Job Description Summary

As Technical Leader (TL), Controls Systems Integration and Configuration Management you will drive the translation of Onshore Wind (ONW) Turbine Product requirements into Controls requirements as well as you will manage the Controls Software configuration strategy and implementation.

As TL, Controls Systems Integration and Configuration Management you will be reporting to the ONW Controls Systems and Operations Leader, joining a global team of Systems engineers that is part of the Controls & Operability Sub-system within the GE Vernova Wind Engineering organization.

In addition to Controls, you will closely interact with other Sub-systems and Systems engineers, as well as with Program Management, Product Line and Services/Customer engineering.

Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Coordinate prioritization and development of Product and System level requirements (PLR/SLR).
  • Provide technical guidance and overall coordination across NPI with substantial Controls work packages.
  • Own Controls SW configuration strategy and operations: manage Parameter Configuration Controls Board (PPCB), coordinate configuration requests and implementation (Corella).
  • Ensure rigor in Controls Lifecycle Management and compliance to the Controls & Operability processes.
  • Support quality issue resolution and root cause analysis related with Controls SW.
  • Prepare technical reporting and presentations for internal and external purpose, including design reviews and customer meetings.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Science from an accredited University.
  • Minimum of 5 years significant Wind Turbine product experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years design experience in Wind Turbine controls, operability, or systems.

Desired Characteristics

  • Minimum of 10 years significant Wind Turbine product experience.
  • In-depth understanding of Wind Turbine design processes and the Onshore Wind NPI process.
  • Effective time management and rigorous organization of work.
  • Ability to work with multi-cultural and globally distributed team.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication including demonstrated ability to simplify complex topics and communicate to non-experts.
  • Track record of creating, improving, and maintaining design processes to improve quality.
  • Design or service experience with real time control systems such as the GE MarkVIe
