Job Description Summary

Determine and minimize the company's worldwide tax liability with the highest integrity while complying with worldwide tax laws. Interprets simple internal and external business challenges and recommends best practices to improve products, processes or services. Stays informed of industry trends that may influence work.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Role will lead various Thomspon Reuters application implementations, including but not limited to OIT and OTP. Expected to be in house TR expert for the functional teams.
  • Upon a successful implementation, role will shift towards monthly maintenance, access requests, setup changes, etc.
  • Role will include management of another in-house system admin.
  • Role will include the management of 3rd party vendor relationships, including implementation teams.
  • As part of the overall Tax Technology team the following are expected as a general practice activities.

  • Participates in gathering and analyzing functional tax requirements.
  • Drives technology solutions that support filings, enterprise systems and a competitive advantage; all while executing flawless compliance
  • Requires specialized depth and/or breadth of expertise within their discipline. May require strong commercial awareness and is expected to influence the development of strategy within own area, including control of resources and policy formulation.

Uses multiple internal and some external sources outside of own function to help arrive at a decision.
  • Collaborates with other departments within the organization, including tax, finance, accounting, IT, to ensure alignment of tax processes with regulatory requirements and organizational goals.

Required Qualifications:

  • Strong experience in with Thompson Reuters products, including but limited to OTP/OIT

Desired Characteristics:

  • Strong oral and written communication skills. Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead programs / projects.
  • Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs.
  • Established project management skills.
