In this role, you will work closely with global customers to provide technical support for implementing and trouble shooting GE Vernova Grid software solutions. You will act as an individual contributor on these engagements, contributing to software implementation, upgrades, and troubleshooting while balancing scope versus project time and resource commitments.
Job Description
The role is embedded within the Services Group in India, a team that works closely with customers delivering first class, consulting, and support on the GE Software Solutions. The focus is on building pipeline of services work and delivering a quality service. The successful candidate's time will be split between services solution support, Project Services, Customer support etc. for the use of GE DERMS suite of products.

In this role, you will:
• Provide technical support to applications implementation, integration and support.
Act with a sense of urgency. Are responsible for the quality of the support to global customers.
Meet the service level agreements and KPI's for support cases/tickets.
Contribute towards application implementation and validation.
• Effectively communicate both verbally and in writing with peers and team members as an inclusive team member, supporting integration strategy, services support efforts and project execution.
• Effectively apply GE Vernova Grid software execution methodology and project standards.
• Maintain & continuously update technical skills and knowledge.
• Work independently as well as part of the team.
Eligibility Requirements:
Bachelor's Engineering Degree in computer science or equivalent.
• Minimum 3-5 years' experience in product support/ customer support in software applications/products.
• Strong background in distributed energy resources software applications, or other industrial software enterprise solutions
• Proficiency in software engineering tools and processes in general, specifically in object-oriented analysis, design, and development (e.g. Python, Kubernetes, Java, microservices architecture)
• Experience in developing software in an agile environment. (e.g. scrum, continuous integration, test driven development)
Understanding of tools: Service-Now, JIRA.
Occasional travel may be involved.
Willingness to be flexible with working hours to support global customer needs.
Desired Characteristics:
• Software skills in software analysis, design, methodology, and architecture
• Programming experience in software development with Microsoft Visual Studio / Development tools, Eclipse, Java, or Python programming
• Demonstrated ability to learn new software development practices, languages, and tools
• Strong spoken and written English language skills
• Proficiency in database tools (e.g. PostgreSQL MongoDB) and database modelling
