Job Description Summary

Sourcing & Supply Chain Finance Leader will operate as business partner to GSI Supply Chain and Transformer Product Delivery Group (PDG) Leaders. He/She will be responsible for driving financial efficiency, risk management, cost savings & productivity across GSI supply chain & sourcing operations globally. This role will also be instrumental in supporting global supplier management, productivity initiatives, Inventory, Capex and sales & operating plan.

Roles and Responsibilities

Sourcing & Supply Chain Finance:

  • Lead a Supply Chain finance team to deliver financial insights in product cost, productivity, inflation / deflation, inventory management and CAPEX.
  • Partner to with Supply Chain and Manufacturing leadership to deliver cost savings, allocate capital, work on affordability of the products. Successful candidate will be onf of the key decision makers around Supply Chain and Manufacturing.
  • Drive performance across existing Valve & Transformer Factories focusing on manufacturing KPI's including OTD, labour hours, factory utilisation, cost of poor quality, under/over recoveries.
  • Support strategic sourcing initiatives like supplier diversification programs onboarding new/dual/multiple suppliers for electrical & other critical long lead components, large supplier/account onboarding including financial & risk assessment, vendor financing etc
  • Improve working capital performance through supplier payment terms & inventory management.
  • Develop vendor managed Inventory programs to optimize inventory & working capital while creating capacity to support business growth.
  • Create governance around global inventory management... components, finished goods, physical stock taking and managing risk for obsolescence
  • Run finance operating rhythm including LTS/Budgets, reporting & analysis for all Supply Chain & Sourcing operations
  • Support Product Cost analysis for Valves & Transformers driving should cost, cost out initiatives and managing of inflation & other risks including claims to/from suppliers
  • Partner with regions for Rev Rec compliance on product shipments and ensure financial alignment across month/quarter close
  • Provide analysis of Cost adjustment and incidentals from shop floor to Project finance teams for all projects globally

CAPEX

  • Partner Engineering teams in preparing budgets, forecast for Capex spend
  • Support decision analysis for CAPEX spend in line with GSI growth plans including capacity expansions globally & new greenfield /brownfield investments including M&A opportunities
  • Lead Capex project business case development and validate ROI/NPV for all new requests.
  • Implement and support governance procedure, bringing full visibility on actuals, forecast and initiatives to close gaps.
  • Approve purchase requisitions and PO's in accordance with approved budgets/DOA
  • Oversight and provide governance to asset capitalisation process
  • Monitor asset life cycle, utilisation and risk for impairment.
  • Develop control for assets at 3rd party locations including Vendor locations
  • Lead annual physical asset verification & manage related audits
  • Support decision making & spend optimization through buy or lease options

Qualifications / Requirements:

  • Operational business finance experience.
  • Master's Degree in Business Administration or Finance from an accredited college or university
  • Prior 8-10 years experience working in multi-functional, multi-cultural & international organization
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to create and execute concrete programs and action plans
  • Experience partnering with manufacturing operations and engineering functions
  • Prior experience in Industrial or Projects business
  • Established analytical, project management, organizational and problem solving skills
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated team leadership ability
  • Ability to anticipate, identify, and resolve complex financial issues
  • Ability to work with remote and cross functional/cultural teams
