Drive quality for assigned suppliers, including quality plan implementation. Select suppliers through qualification processes. Own supplier results, drive improvements utilizing supplier scorecards. Own supplier audits, ensuring compliance, and driving improvement plans where needed. Impacts quality of own work and the work of others on the team. Focused on execution of standard enabling activities/provision of advice subject to policy and work routines within an enabling discipline. There may be some latitude to rearrange the sequence to complete task/duties based on changing situations.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Perform visual inspections as one-over-one process verification utilizing visual inspection techniques and the use of precision measuring equipment.
- Responsible for documenting product defects and generating non-conformance reports in accordance. with GE Aero Services Control of Non-Conforming Materials procedures.
- Responsible for completing detailed quality control Inspection (in-process and final inspections) records.
- Maintain accurate inspection reports and records in compliance with Quality Management System (QMS)
- Assist in development of QMS Procedures and Work Instructions to eliminate quality defects and improve shop process.
- Provide training and defect awareness to shop personnel if non-conformances are found with duties identified in procedures or work instructions.
- Perform additional tasking as requested by management to accomplish Organizational goals.
- Assist Engineers and Quality Specialist with data gathering to support investigations.
- Ability to multitask between jobs.
Basic Qualifications/Requirements:
- High School diploma or equivalent (GED).
- At least 1-2 years proficiency in computer skills: able to create, edit, and format data in Excel spreadsheets; able to create, modify, and edit using the current business database; be able to create PowerPoint presentations
- At least 1 year of Turbine Technician at JPort facility experience and/or 5 years Jport shop experience with working knowledge of Aeroderivative gas turbines engines, sub-assemblies, and components.
- Able to lift, push, and pull at least 40 lbs
Desired Characteristics:
- Experience reading and interpreting Engineering Drawings, Code Specifications, and Purchase Orders to verify products are in compliance with the requirements set forth in these documents.
- Experience or working knowledge of ISO 9000 standards and Quality Management System procedures.
- Energetic self-starter, capable of working with minimum supervision, and have strong written/oral communication skills.
- Minimum 1 years recent experience in Quality Control Inspections including mechanical, electrical, in-process, and final product inspections. Experience either working on or inspecting heavy industrial rotating equipment including gas turbine power generation equipment.
- Able to professionally interface with Engineers, Sourcing QA Engineers, Customers, Suppliers, and external Inspection agencies.
- Possess a team player mindset with a willingness to accept new challenges including cross training to work in other Inspection disciplines to assist in other Quality Assurance duties.
- Beneficial to be certified as an ASQ Certified Quality Inspector (CQI) or possess an equivalent technical degree from an accredited University. Also, beneficial to have or to have recently held an AP License or equivalent Turbine Technician certification from an accredited University.
