The Controls Configuration & Automation team enhances GE Vernova's ability to create and deliver world-class controls solutions. This is accomplished through the development of numerous software applications (tools) that are critical for engineering productivity and product quality in all phases of the product life cycle. These tools span simulation & modeling technology, control parameter calculation, controller tuning / configuration, product validation, etc.

Roles and Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
• Be responsible for defining, developing, and evolving software in a fast paced and agile development environment using the latest software development technologies and infrastructure

• Demonstrate expertise with C# and .NET Framework
• Apply principles of SDLC and methodologies like Lean/Agile, CI, Software and Product Security, Scalability, Documentation Practices, refactoring and Testing Techniques
• Use working knowledge of current Software Design Patterns and their applicability
• Provide technical leadership in an Agile development environment
• Partner with your Product Owner and engineers in systems and controls to understand requirements and execute on the development of those tools
• Become engaged with the broader team to anticipate needs, recognize process pain points, and recommend solutions is critical
• Collaborate with internal customers / users to fully understand user stories and use cases
• Automate product software configuration and software packaging / archiving applications
• Own, manage, and maintain multiple software applications at once
• Ability to takes ownership of small and medium sized tasks and deliver while mentoring and helping team members
• Create customized product documentation for fellow developers as well as users
• Champion Test Driven Development techniques for new development and refactor legacy code to leverage modern test packages for reduced sustaining costs
• Proactively share information across the team, to the right audience with the appropriate level of detail and timeliness
Education Qualification
For roles outside USA: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or "STEM" Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) with advanced experience.
For roles in USA: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or "STEM" Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) with minimum 4 years of experience
Desired Characteristics/Technical Expertise:
• Master's Degree in Computer Science
• Experience with WPF and Angular Frameworks
• Ensures understanding of issues and presents clear rationale. Able to speak to mutual needs and win-win solutions. Uses two-way communication to influence outcomes and ongoing results
• Identifies misalignments with goals, objectives, and work direction against the organizational strategy. Makes suggestions to course correct
• Strong oral and written communication skills & interpersonal skills
• Effective team building and problem solving abilities
• Persists to completion, especially in the face of overwhelming odds and setbacks. Pushes self for results; pushes others for results through team spirit
• Experience working on software projects in the Energy domain (Energy Management, Oil & Gas, Power & Water)

Pay Transparency:
For U.S. based candidates only, for purposes of complying with U.S. pay transparency requirements, the base pay range for this position is 88,800.00 - 148,000.00 USD Annual. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for 10% annual performance incentive.
A Minimum of 63,500.00 - 95,300.00 EUR gross annual salary per year - The actual salary will be based on qualifications and experience.
