Job Description Summary

Leader of sourcing for TGTS repair shop and manage all Direct material sourcing and buying scope. Apply sourcing policy, interface between supplier and entity with respect to specifications and budgets. Act as the focal point for the plant leadership, in regards to sourcing operations and rhythms. Be the liaison between the sourcing quality, strategic sourcing and digital initiatives sourcing, as well as work horizontally across the different functions to drive an efficient operational rigor, to meet the sourcing's metrics.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Perform PR to PO fulfillment process to meet the repair shop fulfillment needs and support final customer delivery commitment.
  • Drive all supplier negotiations, across multiple commodities, to get the best terms for the business, and to achieve the best contractual conditions and payment terms while also ensuring internal customer satisfaction.
  • Develop, plan, and manage programs to meet company purchasing commitments in Sourcing.
  • Define and improve Sourcing strategies at the shop level, to ensure complying with all sourcing policies and procedures.
  • Work and resolve complex sourcing and supplier performance management issues. Balance both tactical execution with strategic initiatives necessary to drive cost reduction projects, and focus on cost-out.
  • Present sourcing accomplishments and results to the leadership in shop and global sourcing teams.
  • Partner with the sourcing leader and the global sourcing, in meeting regional and global targets, and setting the right strategies/deflation for the different commodities.
  • Conduct competitive analysis of vendor products and services to develop and implement should-cost strategies.
  • Understand supplier performance management and develops initiatives and strategy to execute on key business needs. Regularly advises management in the function and/or in the business and a key decision maker in regards to sourcing operations.
  • Leads the compliance/sourcing culture, and drive compliance campaigns across the region.
  • Leads complex and multidisciplinary projects to optimize the sourcing operations.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college. Minimum of 5 additional years of experience in Sourcing Management.
  • Proficiency in the English and Japanese Language.
  • Deep expertise on sourcing and procurement practice.
  • Strong business acumen, and the ability to communicate across different levels in the organization.
