The UI Developer is responsible for designing, building, delivering and maintaining reusable UI framework components, applications and services. Working mostly on web UI design system for backend services developed using Java for applications. Responsible for software lifecycle including activities such as requirement analysis, documentation/procedures and implementation.

Responsibilities

  • Be responsible and work within a team in charge of reusable UI component and services, in order to create a UI Design System
  • Be responsible for defining, developing, and evolving software in a fast paced and agile development environment using the latest software development technologies and infrastructure
  • Provide technical leadership within a scrum team
  • Work with customers to understand their requirements & vision
  • Work with UX Designers and Researchers in order to implement UI components, applications and meet user requirements base on UX specifications and user feedback.
  • Translate requirements / vision into prioritized list of user stories and deliver to required timelines and quality standards.
  • Drive increased efficiency across the teams, eliminating duplication, leveraging product and technology re-use
  • Support process improvements which guide the development, sustaining & support activities
  • Work cross functionally with other business departments to align activities and deliverables.
  • Drive world-class quality in the development and support of products
  • Engage subject matter experts in successful transfer of complex domain knowledge
  • Apply principles of SDLC and methodologies like Lean/Agile/XP, CI, Software and Product Security, Scalability, Documentation Practices, refactoring and Testing Techniques
  • Write code that meets standards and delivers desired functionality using the technology selected for the project.
  • Understand performance parameters and assess application performance.
  • Work on core data structures and algorithms and implement them using technology chosen.
  • Proactively share information across the team, to the right audience with the appropriate level of detail and timeliness

Desired Characteristics & Technical Expertise

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or "STEM" Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) with advanced experience.
  • Experience with minimum 3-5 years.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Angular
  • Conduct thorough testing to identify and fix any bugs or performance issues.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest UI/UX trends, techniques, and technologies.
  • Develop/modify responsive UI web application pages that are compatible with iPads, iPhones, Android tablets, and other mobile devices.
  • Collaborate with UX/UI designers to implement designs and user interfaces that are both visually appealing and functional.
  • Ensure cross-platform optimization for mobile phones and tablets.
  • Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.
  • Collaborate with back-end developers to integrate front-end components with server-side logic.
  • Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers.
  • Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs.
  • Develop and maintain documentation for UI components and front-end development processes.
  • Exposure to developing web applications using Java, SpringBoot RESTful Services will be a plus
  • Exposure to database tools (MS SQL Server, PostgreSQL, JPA, Hibernate, JDBC, Spring Data) will be a plus.
  • General understanding of the impacts of technology choice to the software development lifecycle
