Job Description Summary

The Services Site Manager will be responsible for managing and operating multiple windfarms, involves optimizing business performance, ensuring operational efficiency, and fostering a culture of safety among the site team. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical knowledge of wind turbine technology, exceptional people management skills, and a proactive approach to resource planning and process standardization.

Roles and Responsibilities

Manage and operate windfarms: Manage windfarms primarily located in southern Indian states (transferable to anywhere in India). Manage critical business KPIs at hub level for both operations and safety perspective. Ensure improving trend in down turbine hours reduction with effective planning and execution. Excellent knowledge on wind turbine technology and it's component details like gearbox , DFIG generators , blades etc. Proactive planning for resource requirements (labor and part) and facilitate resources for smoother execution of corrective , preventive , planned retrofit activities.

Process standardization: Hands on experience in establishing international processes like ISO , Kaizen , 5S etc. Ensure process documentations at site based on business standards. Foster a strong safety culture among site team and ensure they are having knowledge about applicable EHS processes. Perform regular audit /GENBA to ensure process compliance. Comply with instruction and compliance guidelines, as well as company EHS standards and procedures.

Coordination with cross functional team & customer : Maintain presence in daily /weekly meetings based on business demand. Manage technical coordination with GE engineering team and remote operation centers for site issues. Manage customer communications and drive customer raised concerns with a problem-solving mindset & provide response to customer. Investigate reported problems and identify/analyze any undesirable trends and report to GE engineering. Coordinate with suppliers as required for sub-component level issues.

Required Qualifications

-Bachelor's degree in any engineering stream /Diploma in engineering

-With 7 to 10 years of work experience in wind energy industry with Min 2 years of experience in with site management role.

-Excellent Verbal and written communication skills in English, ensuring effective interaction and clear documentation.

-Proven experience in managing and operating windfarms.

-Strong technical knowledge of wind turbine technology and components.

-Excellent people management and leadership skills.

-Experience in establishing and standardizing processes such as ISO, Kaizen, and 5S.

-Proficiency in managing cross-functional coordination and customer communications.

-Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.

-Commitment to safety and compliance with EHS standards and procedures.

-Ability / Willingness to travel domestic and International.
