The ideal candidate is an experienced leader with a strong technical background, exceptional communication skills, and a passion for process optimization and customer satisfaction. This position covers Steam Turbine Rotor repairs and Generator Rotor Repairs.

Roles and Responsibilities
- Daily Repair Reports: Write and manage comprehensive daily repair reports, detailing the status of ongoing projects, resource allocation, and key milestones.
- Customer Communication: Act as the primary point of contact for customers, providing regular updates on repair status, cost estimates, cycle times, and project timelines. Resolve customer concerns and manage expectations effectively.
- Internal Communication of Need Dates: Effectively communicate project deadlines and resource needs with internal teams to ensure the availability of parts, personnel, and equipment in line with customer timelines.
- Detailed Scheduling with Microsoft Project: Use Microsoft Project to create, maintain, and update detailed project schedules for both repair and production activities. Monitor project timelines, resource allocation, and adjust schedules as needed to keep projects on track.
- Quoting and Estimating: Provide accurate and timely quotes for repair services, including cost breakdowns and expected completion dates. Collaborate with project team to ensure clarity on repair requirements and timelines.
- Project Coordination: Coordinate internal and external resources (e.g., technicians, contractors) to ensure all necessary components and labor are available for timely completion of repair projects.
- Customer Site Visits: Occasionally visit customer sites to assess repair needs, gather requirements, and provide on-site support.
- Repair Shop Workflow Management: Work with cells to ensure effective level-loading of repair projects, especially during peak or outage months. Balance workload and resource allocation to minimize downtime and maximize efficiency.
- Problem Solving & Escalation: Identify and address operational challenges, customer concerns, and technical issues promptly. Work collaboratively with the team to resolve complex repair challenges.
- Inventory & Parts Management: Collaborate with the procurement team to ensure a steady supply of parts and materials. Manage inventory to avoid bottlenecks and ensure repairs are completed without unnecessary delays.
- Resolve Priority Conflicts: Resolve conflicts in priorities that arise between key jobs
- Continuous Improvement: Lead process improvement initiatives to optimize repair shop operations, reduce cycle times, and improve overall service delivery. Implement best practices to enhance productivity and customer satisfaction.
- Seasonal Planning: Develop strategies for leveling the repair shop's workload during peak and outage months. Plan and allocate resources accordingly to prevent bottlenecks and optimize throughput during busy periods.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with other departments (e.g., sales, procurement, logistics) to ensure alignment on repair priorities, customer deadlines, and resource needs.
- Lean: This position may participate in the establishment of improved services / repairs bays and workstations consistent with Lean Principles
- Developing specialized knowledge in their discipline. Serves as best practice/quality resource. Has awareness of latest technical developments in own area. Contributes towards strategy and policy development, and ensure delivery within area of responsibility.
- Uses judgment to make decisions or solve moderately complex tasks or problems in areas of operational/product management, manufacturing, technology or engineering. Takes new perspective on existing solutions. Uses technical experience and expertise for data analysis to support recommendations. Uses multiple internal and limited external sources outside of own function to arrive at decisions.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or Associates degree from an accredited university or college AND a minimum of 2 years of experience in people leader role in a heavy industrial manufacturing
- Minimum of two years' experience or product Knowledge in Field Repair environment - must have field wind knowledge.
- High Level of organizational ability - experience and ability to coordinate the details of many projects at the same time
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills - act as a direct line of communication with project managers, customers, and shops
- Outstanding Project Management skills

- Proven leadership roles in a heavy industrial manufacturing environment
- Prior experience as an Ops Leader, quality process engineer, manufacturing engineer, or production leader in field assembly or repairs

The base pay range for this position is $ 103,100.00 - 137,400.00 Annual. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for a 15% performance bonus/variable incentive compensation/equity.
