Job Description Summary
The Service Project Buyer role is defined for Service Business from ITO to OTR and serves as the POC for the Project Team for Transactional Projects within the Supply Chain organization. It is responsible for the quality and deliveries for the allocated service project of the buy components. The role works closely with the Transport Specialist, Material Planner, and Sourcing team, as well as with all project team members, under the lead of the Service Project Manager. Additionally, it collaborates with the Project Manager and project team to drive the execution of the allocated projects. The role manages the Supply Chain action progress plan to ensure on-time delivery, quality (NCR), cost, and contractual compliance. It also acts as a project buyer responsible for the Source to Pay process for a delegated scope, including site activities and direct material not covered by Regional Commodity leaders. This involves processing RFQs, placing POs, following up on orders until the completion of the supplier scope, and ensuring invoice payment.

Job Description
Essential responsibilities:
- Collaborate with Regional Commodity Leaders to ensure GE qualified vendors is aligned with service business need with regards to responsiveness, overall lead time, quality, On-time delivery, cost competitiveness
- In collaboration with Regional Commodity Leaders and sourcing team support any relevant business case for new vendors development or framework agreement definition to fit Service Business need.
- For the delegated scope:
- Own supplier panel and proactively maintain an updated and relevant panel with the best Termes & Conditions.
- Understand technical specifications of service projects and prepare the RFQ packages to suppliers, negotiate with suppliers, place PO, lead KOM, ensure schedule implementation and follow up until delivery, coordinate with Supplier Quality to ensure inspection & documentation are done in due time
- Interact with Material Planner in order to ensure that purchasing requisition creation, PO Placement, shipment and day to day activities to respect the project planning and all milestones/targets of the project
- Secure Data quality in ERP that will allow regular project schedule update and ensure that actions are deployed to secure OTD and cash management.
- Interact with Transport Specialist to ensure proper time for Transportation activities (including permit request)
- Provide relevant feedback and support to ITO
- Ensure best compliance
- Organizational reporting: Reports to the Regional Sourcing organization
Qualification & Requirements:
- Education: Bachelors degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Project Management
- Experience: Significant experience in Sourcing / Procurement/ Supply Chain in project related context or in Project Management,
- Language: Fluency in English, written and spoken (Norwegian is a plus)
