Job Description Summary

In this role you will be responsible for co-developing, implementing and co-leading the overall commodity strategy for Steam/Gen Forgings across GE Power, representing spend of ~$65M. This will require working directly with current Forgings GCL, quality & engineering functions, and suppliers globally.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Co-Lead the development & execution of global sourcing strategies for the STG Forgings commodity
  • Be responsible for delivering key sourcing metrics to include: deflation, Product Cost Out (PCO), cash, lead time reduction, On Time Delivery (OTD) and quality improvement from the supply base
  • Develop negotiations strategies and drive negotiations to achieve stated goals and objectives in accordance with the strategy to meet near 100% demand growth, drive supplier selection, development, and overall supplier management.
  • Be an active partner with the supply chain and engineering teams to optimal supply chain total landed cost
  • Drive Sourcing initiatives including productivity, rationalization of supply base, sole source reduction, cycle reduction, on time delivery and quality improvements, Six Sigma / lean, and cash flow improvement
  • Co-Lead the execution of supplier development milestones while expediting global sourcing strategies for capacity needs in the forgings commodity
  • Interface with Business Sourcing Leaders and functional owners to understand business priorities and determine appropriate commodity growth strategies
  • Develop complex, global and comprehensive supplier / buyer contractual and strategic relationships
  • Develop strategic long-term framework for the commodity as well as yearly Op plan commitments. Communicate accordingly establishing a reporting rigor for metrics and execution
  • Understand business compliance requirements and drive opportunities to eliminate compliance risk as well as driving initiatives to remediate concerns

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college, preferably in a technical discipline
  • Minimum 7 years of experince in Sourcing, Supplier Quality and / or Supply Chain.
    ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMNT: Willingness and ability to travel at least 25%

The base pay range for this position is $125,000.00 - $170,000.00 USD. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for bonuses, such as a performance bonus/variable incentive compensation/equity. This position is expected to close on March 31, 2025, or thereafter.

The company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120%, or 130% of salary in certain areas.
