Job Description Summary
The Services Project Management Operations Manager will be a key part of the Nuclear Services Project Management team, with the primary focus on improving project management efficiency by implementing project management tools, standardization, optimizing procedures, driving continuous improvement through LEAN, and assisting leadership with execution of project management strategies supporting the nuclear industry fleet. The ideal candidate has a passion for nuclear energy, experience implementing process improvements, and exceptional influencing and communication skills.
Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
- Implement and provide ongoing assistance/training for targeted project management tools/software used by the Services project management organization.
- Ensure appropriate documentation of formal processes and procedures, including developing new procedures when needed.
- Support development and maintenance of project manager qualification and training.
- Champion LEAN efforts, including Leader Standard Work for Services project managers.
- Drive problem-solving rigor.
- Lead and assist in daily operations relevant to the project management organization.
- Support reviews of open projects on a routine basis.
- Serve as best practice resource for the Services project management organization.
- Contribute towards strategy and policy development.
- Work closely with other Project Management organizations and COEs within GEH to ensure best practice sharing.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college
- Minimum 6 years of large-scale Project Management experience

- The preferred work locations is the Wilmington, NC Headquarters but highly qualified remote candidates will be considered.
- This role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information. If applicable, final offers will be contingent on ability to obtain authorization for access to U.S. export-controlled information from the U.S. Government.
Desired Characteristics
- Demonstrated experience with process improvement methodologies.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) or other project management certification/ credential.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to make sound decisions in complex situations.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and build consensus among diverse stakeholders.
- Effective oral and written communication skills, including process documentation and communication.
- Demonstrated skill for influencing without direct authority.
- Strong financial acumen.
- Experience with LEAN concepts and methodologies.
- Prior Nuclear industry experience.
The base pay range for this position is $132,000 to $180,000. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for bonuses, such as a performance bonus/variable incentive compensation/equity. This position is expected to close on Friday January 31st
The company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120%, or 130% of salary in certain areas.
