Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Project management of large and complex turnkey HVDC projects as a sole contractor or within a consortium for substations in distribution and transmission systems up to 420 kV
  • You are responsible for overseeing the project and directly or indirectly leading and/or managing project resources
  • Contributing to strategy and policy development and ensuring its implementation within the scope of responsibility
  • Possessing in-depth knowledge of best practices and integrating your area with others
  • Make decisions or solve complex tasks or problems in the areas of operations/product management, manufacturing, technology, or engineering
  • Acting as an advisor for less experienced colleagues
  • Creating a project management plan
  • Managing the entire project scope, risks, and opportunities, and analyzing customer requirements
  • Taking responsibility for the project margin and maximizing profit at each phase of the project
  • Responsible for all aspects of communication within the project and with the client, including reporting to management
  • Ensuring the team has the necessary expertise and competencies
  • Ensuring adherence to quality procedures
  • Demonstrating leadership in the EHS area

Required Qualifications

  • Extensive experience in turnkey (offshore) HVDC project management
  • Certification by PMI or equivalent
  • Bachelor's/Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
  • Fluent in English and German would be a plus
  • Experience in leading multidisciplinary teams with multiple interfaces and high project-related content
  • Experience in team building and developing team culture
  • Management of projects with significant financial, technical, and commercial risk
  • Experience with profit and loss (P&L) goals
  • Willingness to work at different locations for short or medium periods and travel worldwide
