Job Description Summary

• The business is adding new customers, expanding into new geographies, and developing new technology. The Senior Project Manager will support projects that are typically executed using an EPC (Engineering, Procurement and Construction) or an Engineered Equipment Package (EEP) contract framework. The Project Manager will deliver customer facing projects.

In this position, you will:

  • Manage large, customer facing projects, that may include new product introduction, first of a kind solution and international deployment.
  • Act as a single point of contact for senior level customer contacts and internal / external project team and ensure communications and progress reporting both internal and for the customer.
  • Assume overall responsibility for project leadership & strategy; including planning, directing, and controlling resources / processes in complex work-scope projects to ensure compliance to customer specifications, quality standards and safety & technical /engineering standards.
  • Work closely with other functional disciplines including Engineering & Design, Purchasing, Suppliers, Finance, Site management, Commissioning, Quality, and Contract/Legal Management to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Manage project risks, scope, and budget throughout the life of the project with the objective of ensuring safe, on time completion within budget.
  • Maintain, and strive to enhance, the financial health of the project by managing key metrics such as Revenue, Costs, Margins & Free Cash Flow (FCF).
  • Ensure compliance to safety procedures including when on site.
  • Communicate customer feedback and lessons learned to Engineering, Program Management, Sales, and Product Management
  • Engage as required during the proposal phase when project scope, schedule and costs are being developed.
  • Ensure operational excellence in the areas of integrity, controllership, and compliance.

We are looking for a professional with:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
  • Wealth of experience in technical/engineering project/ program management in power generation, transmission, distribution, or energy sectors.
  • Demonstrable experience in directly managing customer facing technical/ engineering projects where scope includes engineering, procurement, and construction.
  • Proven ability to prioritize, manage multiple projects and execute in a fast-paced and dynamic environment across multiple time zones with a strong ownership mentality.
  • Working knowledge of solar/ battery energy storage systems including familiarity with codes and standards followed in the UK.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills -communicates in a clear and succinct manner and effectively evaluates information / data to make decisions, anticipates obstacles and develops plans to resolve, creates actionable strategies and operational plans.
  • Familiarity with long term service agreements (LTSAs).
  • Intellectual curiosity and technical aptitude necessary to rapidly learn new technologies and customer applications.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Prior experience with LEAN.
  • Multilingual (i.e. - written, oral fluency in languages other than English).
  • PMP or equivalent certification; familiarity with modern project management tools, techniques & software systems, including global resource planning systems and Primavera project management software.

Travel & Location:

The position may involve up to 30% travel to customer and/or GE sites, domestic or international.
