Job Description Summary

The Senior Finance Manager - Nuclear Fuels will have broad responsibilities for the financials that drive the success of our Nuclear Fuels value stream. The Senior Manager will partner with the Fuels Value Stream Leader and associated senior leadership team to deliver on the business growth strategies. In this role, the Senior Finance Manager will be driving the business outcomes for Fuels P&L, including the commercial & operational performance of the value stream, inclusive of oversight for risk finance, value stream health, productivity & cost management, FP&A and controllership. As a leader of the Fuels Finance team, you will be an active contributor to the growth and profitability of the value stream and ensuring world class governance of our Nuclear Fuels finance processes.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

As the Senior Finance Manager - Fuels you will:

  • Lead the development, implementation and measurement of operation plans and participate in their successful execution (Lead Budget, Op Plan, Long Range Forecast)
  • Analyze the performance and propose action plans to improve profitability and cash generation as well as corrective action plans as needed. Define KPIs to measure the performance in all areas of the organization- mfg., R&D, eng, supply, commissioning.
  • Engage with GEH senior leaders and provide finance oversight to the Fuels activities for complex multi-year contracts that support the business.
  • Partner closely with senior leadership team to highlight and manage risks and opportunities.
  • Develop financial models to forecast Contract Margin Reviews (CMR) impact.
  • Design and deploy a scalable and repeatable process to advance Nuclear Fuels operations globally, including manufacturing operations in Japan (GNF-J).
  • Partner cross-functionally to drive profitable growth and meet global targets providing insight and decision-making support.
  • Closely monitor and report variances of Fuels projects to budget and pricing assumptions
  • Partner with other businesses and other value streams to understand their tools capabilities and adapt these tools as deemed fit.
  • Ensure key processes and controls are in place to support a world class financial operation.
  • Recommend and influence needed actions to maximize cash, profitability, and fleet risk management. Expected to influence the development of strategy within own area, including control of resources and influences policy formulation.
  • Identify, develop, and recruit Finance talent.
  • Lead Fuels Finance Analysts.
  • Drive a spirit & letter of excellence in all activities (e.g., adherence to GE policies, transfer of best practices, internal controls, etc.}

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or a related field from an accredited university or college. Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 8 years' experience in financial accounting, financial planning & analysis, commercial finance, or audit, including managing a team

Desired Characteristics

  • Master's degree in business administration
  • A strong commercial orientation and a proven ability to partner with senior leaders, business unit managers and operating teams to drive and monitor performance and to develop strategic plans.
  • Direct experience with operating initiatives, and cost control programs that build growth and profitability.
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and to prioritize under pressure.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to create and execute concrete action plans.
  • Strong analytical, project management, and organizational skills.

The base pay range for this position is $180-200K. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for bonuses, such as a performance bonus/variable incentive compensation/equity. This position is expected to close on 10/04/2024.

The company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120%, or 130% of salary in certain areas.
