The Performance Design & Methods team within GE Vernova Gas Power sits at the intersection of engineering, commercial and digital. Members of the team are responsible for defining the performance capabilities for all GE Vernova heavy duty gas turbines, including both new units and upgrades. The team is responsible for building and releasing thermodynamic cycle models in support of R&D development and product application, supporting product validation testing, and driving customer issue resolution. This role contributes to the overall strategy and manages complex issues within gas turbine system modeling and performance characterization/optimization.

Job Description
As Senior Engineer - Gas Turbine Performance Design, you will:
- Identify, develop, evaluate, and introduce engineering solutions to meet near term and long-range needs regarding the advancement of gas turbine thermodynamic performance modeling and characterization.
- Serve as the point-of-contact for all R&D performance related items for a given gas turbine frame(s).
- Create gas turbine performance models in support of new unit sales and aftermarket conversions, modifications or uprates.
- Lead cross-functional gas turbine performance optimization exercises that maximize product value while balancing competing product requirements.
- Provide technical consultation on gas turbine performance related issues throughout the business including R&D development, new unit sales support, and aftermarket conversions, modifications, and uprates.
- Maintain an active role in developing and defining the state of the art in gas turbine thermodynamic performance modeling and characterization in order to anticipate, apply, adapt or develop technologies for product introduction, quality, performance, cost improvements and problem resolution in meeting current and future business needs including adherence to schedules and estimated costs.
- Use knowledge and expertise to market winning proposals in anticipation of business product needs.
- Prepare invention disclosures to protect technology that gives the business a competitive advantage, as well as protecting the intellectual property rights of the company.
- Provide technical guidance, direction and training to new and experienced engineers, specialists, technicians and co-ops.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering
- Minimum of 8 additional years of experience in an engineering capacity
Desired Characteristics:
- Advanced degree in Engineering
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
- Experience supporting GE Vernova's heavy duty gas turbine product line in an engineering or commercial capacity
- Problem analysis and resolution skills
- Demonstrated expertise in thermodynamic cycle modeling
- Design of experiment and numerical optimization experience

For U.S. based candidates only, for purposes of complying with U.S. pay transparency requirements, the base pay range for this position is $111,200 - $148,300 USD Annual.
The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, education, and skill set. This Senior Professional Band position is also eligible for a variable incentive bonus of 15%.
*The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas.
