Job Description Summary
As Senior Data & Information Architect for GE Vernova's Enabling Functions Data & Analytics (D&A) organization, you will be helping to define of the data architecture vision, strategy, and roadmap for the "DT for D&A" analytics domain; enable teams to execute on D&A foundation-related projects with broad analytics scope including GenAI. Additionally, you will be responsible for assisting technical teams to remove obstacles and ensure teams deliver outcomes on time, within scope and budget, and of desired quality.

Roles and Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
- Define data architecture roadmaps and execution plans for insights and actions supporting DT for D&A analytics that drive business outcomes and facilitate decision-making
- Define data architecture roadmaps and execution plans for strengthening the foundation and standardization of our data products, reduce technology debt, and improve the quality to drive long term stability and reduce redundancy
- Partner with the Data Platform teams to come up with multiple design patterns supporting real time/near time/hybrid architectures on cloud using AWS native services
- Support program management, including operationalization of analytic methods and products in functional settings, and drive agile development of new methods and capabilities
- Participate and lead project reviews, feasibility, prioritization, initiation, execution, user acceptance, operationalization for all project work related to all DT and DnA analytics program(s)
- Support customer adoption & drive consumption of analytics, and maximize usage and use of analytics with customers
- Effectively communicate (i.e. status, issues, and escalations) to leadership and other various levels of the organization
- Partner with shared DT and business resources to effectively deliver and support solutions
- Share technical, procedural, and business knowledge with others.

- Facilitate convergence of functional and technical knowledge

Education Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in business, computer science or in "STEM" Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math)
- Minimum of 3 years of experience working with Data Management, Business Intelligence, or Data Analytics
- A minimum of 6 years of technical experience along with established leadership credentials across disciplines and functions within a product
Desired Characteristics
Technical Expertise
- Experience with industry standard data modeling tools (e.g., ERWin, ER Studio, etc.).
- Experience with Extract, Transform & Load (ETL) tools like Informatica or Talend
- Experience with industry standard data catalog, automated data discovery and data lineage tools (e.g., Alation, Collibra, etc., )
- Hands-on experience in programming languages like Java, Python or Scala
- Hands-on experience in writing SQL scripts for Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL or HiveQL
- Experience with Big Data / Hadoop / Spark / Hive / NoSQL database engines (i.e. Cassandra or HBase)
- Exposure to unstructured datasets and ability to handle XML, JSON file formats
- Conducting exploratory data analysis and generate visual summaries of data. Identify data quality issues proactively
- Hands on experience with visualization applications such as Tableau
- Hands on experience with writing SQL queries and working with databases
- Strong knowledge of software design and coding principles; Familiarity with versatile implementation options
- Strong knowledge of technical topics, such as caching, APIs, data transfer, scalability, and security
- Prior experience/role in direct interactions with customers; Agile development and/or Lean experience
