Job Description Summary

The Senior Advanced Manufacturing Engineer - Blades will drive process definition and process and tooling improvements at wind blade manufacturing suppliers. The Lead Advanced Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for delivering improvements on the key metrics of quality, fulfillment, and cost by working cross-functionally with Engineering, Supplier Quality, and suppliers.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Provide expertise and oversee the development and implementation of composite processes and technologies
  • Participate as a key member of the qualification team for New Product Introductions (NPI) and drive qualification according to APQP4Wind standard
  • Work with suppliers to develop and document new processes, provide input on operator training and facilities & equipment, and drive efforts at reducing production cycles, and quality problems
  • Manage projects that develop and support implementation of cost out objectives.
  • Assist suppliers and Supplier Quality Engineering team by troubleshooting problems with current designs and improving those designs through application of improved processes
  • Develop, review, and approve new process specifications and drawings, and provide input on updating existing specifications and drawings
  • Leverage Continuous Improvement methodologies, including Lean and Six Sigma processes and tools, to ensure improvement in quality and total product cost

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in relevant technical field from an accredited university.
  • Minimum of 5 years of manufacturing, process engineering, or industrial engineering experience.
  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 40% of the time.

The salary range for this position is $103,100.00 - $171,800.00 USD Annual.
The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate's experience, their education, and the work location. In addition, this role has variable compensation incentive of 15% .
