This is an opportunity to work as part of cross-functional team to deliver product designs that meet customer and project requirements in close conjunction with Electrical and Mechanical Engineers and collaborate with Customers and Project Management, Sourcing and Procurement, Manufacturing and Quality teams.

In this role you will focus on:
- Understanding contractual requirements and provide technical solution in case of a conflict in a timely manner with quality.
- Leading to produce concept designs through 3D models and evaluating them against the technical and commercial requirements and recommend the best overall solution.
- Leading to develop detail designs through 3D model sub-assemblies to top level assembly with close cooperation with electrical and mechanical engineers.
- Leading to produce detail part drawings and specifications, detailed assembly drawings with manufacturing instructions.
- Investigating and actioning change requests and change notices for any continuous improvement ideas into the product design change.
- Checking most of the work carried out by self and by others through peer-reviews and scheduled design reviews with other project engineers.
- Creation and submission of required design data to attain machine/product certification for use in hazardous environments.
We are looking for a committed and professional individual with:
- A relevant degree in Engineering HNC/HND or equivalent, or significant experience in a rotating electrical machines CAD engineering environment.
- Solid knowledge of 3D CAD modelling and assembling.
- Expertise in PTC Creo / Windchill / AutoCAD with experience of creating BoM structures.
- Expertise in Teamcenter, SAP or equivalent PLM software.
- Know-how of rotating electrical machines, their engineering challenges and manufacturing processes.
- Experience with engineering design processes.
- Familiarity with a variety of Industry Standards, i.e. ISO 9000, BS EN, etc.
- Computer literacy in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
